Sports Premium
PE is a valued part of our curriculum and we believe that the variety we offer within our school, including extra-curricular opportunities, has a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children. It underpins our ethos of learning together and working as a team, nurturing the needs and talents of every child and develops high self-esteem and high expectations.
The Government is spending millions on improving physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools over the from 2013 to 2020. This is being allocated directly to schools to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. The money can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.
Mundella strives to ensure the Sports Premium funding is used to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport offered in school.
In the documents below, the details of this funding have been organised into 5 key indicators. This shows how the funding is being spent, as well as the impact it is having on pupils’ PE and sport participation. This document also includes information on our previous Y6 cohort's swimming outcomes. We will be regularly updating this document and publishing below, to show our ongoing review of the funding.
